BMW Motorrad kick starts the new year at the MCN London Motorcycle Show
BMW Motorrad is gearing up for the biggest motorcycle event in the South East, the MCN London Motorcycle Show which runs from 31 January to 3 February. The show will be a treat for every motorcycle enthusiast with an exciting mix of manufacturer’s stands, clothing and accessory exhibitors and live action entertainment.
Returning for the second consecutive year to the ExCeL London, the MCN London Motorcycle Show is the second largest motorcycle consumer show in the UK, with an attendance in 2007 of nearly 45,000.
With BMW Motorrad labelling 2008 as its ‘Year of Enduro’ the stand will feature five of BMW’s new models for 2008, including:
· F 650 GS – an all-new version of the popular GS all-rounder
· F 800 GS – a completely new middleweight adventure tourer with excellent off-road performance
· R 1200 GS – an updated version of BMW Motorrad’s best selling GS model
· R 1200 GS Adventure – an improved model of the ultimate long-distance enduro
· HP2 Sport - the sportiest, most powerful and lightest Boxer of all time
A selection of models from the existing range will also be on display.
There will also be the exclusive opportunity to meet Charley Boorman when he appears on the BMW stand on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 February to discuss his exploits on the “Long Way Down” expedition. Charley will be appearing alongside the trusty R 1200 GS Adventure, the bike which covered more than 15,000 miles through Africa and was praised by Boorman for its reliability and durability- two attributes that the R 1200 GS Adventure is renowned for.
In addition, there will be a selection of the latest BMW Accessories and Rider Equipment on display.
BMW Motorrad staff will be on hand to offer advice and technical information throughout the show as well as providing information on the World of BMW Activity Programme, now available to all riders, however experienced. Visitors to the stand will also be able to pick up a copy of the brand new World of BMW Activity Brochure outlining details of all the courses and tours available in 2008.
