More Mountains All The Way

More Mountains All The Way

  • Nine days/eight nights
  • 2,250 miles
  • Perfect for sports & touring bikes
  • Crammed with mountain passes

‘Mountains all the Way’ was 2011's best-attended tour – it was so popular that we had to add a second identical tour to the calendar. For 2012, More Mountains All the Way will be based in the French Alps, providing us with a whole new route of twisty roads, sky-high Alpine passes and picture-postcard views.

The days will be long and fulfilling, with unsurpassed riding and scenery along the way, with comfortable hotels and a cold beer or glass of wine waiting for us at the end of the day. After the ferry crossing from Dover, the trip starts in Troyes. We'll then continue to snake and climb up and up into the foothills of France, where the forests start to disappear - then the roads soar up into the white-capped Alps where the real mountains begin. We then take a short detour into Switzerland and glide between the peaks and valleys around Davos and Verbier, before turning back through Grenoble, and an enjoyable ride back through Germany and France to Reims. This tour is ideal for riders who want plenty of incredible miles and mountain passes into their trip as possible.
