Tuscany is a favourite destination among our Tour Leaders and customers alike – and very much due a renaissance! Our two-week tour begins with an exhilarating ride across France, Austria and Germany along outstanding riding roads with many opportunities to stop and enjoy the local food, drink and sights. Once we reach Italy, delights include Ligurian coastline around Santa Margherita where we stay overnight, and the Cinque Terra - a collection of five small coastal villages which attract many tourists.
Our route continues past La Spezia and Viareggio and on to the unmissable location of Pisa for a stop-off at the famously faulty tower. A day off here gives us time to climb the 294 steps to the top. After Pisa, we head inland towards the beautiful city of Siena, and then on to Florence and its priceless collections of art and unparalled fine architecture. A day of riding will then take us to the stunning city of Verona with its 2,000-year-old Roman Arena in the main square. Verona is a delight to stroll around; its small piazzas and narrow streets are filled with architectural wonders, including Roman ruins and the famous Romeo & Juliet's balcony. This tour offers a delightful change of pace, beginning and ending with rides across France, Austria and Germany, as well as the chance to explore three of Italy's most famous cities from our centrally located elegant hotels.
